Black Trumpet

Black Trumpet mushroom is a distinctly trumpet-shaped member of the chanterelle family with a naturally savoury, buttery flavour. Known as the "poor man's truffle," black trumpets have a rich, smoky aroma that makes them an excellent accompaniment to beef or lamb. 

Wild caught dried Black Trumpet mushrooms reconstitute exceptionally well. Feature Black Trumpet mushrooms in a sauce served over meat or poultry. Their black colour stands out especially well in risottos, omelettes, and quiche, and their aromatic and buttery flavour will delight even the most demanding palate.
