2024 Forays Schedule!

We had so much fun these past 3 years guiding people through the woods, finding mushrooms, sharing all we know about them that we are continuing this year. We are changing some locations, but that gives us an opportunity to explore new areas.

Locations for our Group Forays will be decided a week or so prior to the event. Spring cookout is hosted at the Red Mill Maple Syrup farm in Millbrook, ON. The address is 1232 Deyell Line, Millbrook, Ontario, L0A 1G0. Fall cookouts are going to be hosted at the Villa Vida Loca at 13350 Highway 12 Sunderland ON L0C 1H0 with our chef Alex Page cooking exceptional meals!

Wild Mushrooms Forays in 2024

Group Guided Wild Mushrooms Foray

Group Guided Forays will be taking place at various locations which will be decided 10 days or so prior to the event. Usually we will not go further than 2 hrs drive from Newmarket. Limit 14 people.

Group Guided Wild Mushrooms Foray & Cookout

For the spring Foray and Cookout at the Red Mill Maple Syrup farm we are meeting at 11 am. We are exploring the woods at the farm and then joining chef Alex Page at the Cauldron for the delicious meal outdoors. Limit 14 people

April 27

Fall event - Group Guided Foray start in the morning near Sunderland and we go to the Villa Vida Loca for the cookout. Limit 14 people.

Fees for foray only:

$65 per person over 14 years old;
$30 children 6 to 14 years old;
Children under 6 are free.

Fees for the spring foray and cookout

$100 per person over 14 years old;
$70 children 6 to 14 years old;
Children under 6 are free unless they are eating.
There is not children friendly menu, so if you are reserving a child seat they will be served the same meal as adults for $60.

and the fall foray with cookout:

$120 per person over 14 years old;
$80 children 6 to 14 years old;
Children under 6 are free unless they are eating.
There is not children friendly menu, so if you are reserving a child seat they will be served the same meal as adults for $60. For any other dietary requests please contact us. Our chef will do his best to accomodate them.

We also offer private foraging tours to individuals or families. Please contact us for details.

Forays are typically held rain or shine, but please check your e-mail for updates after you register. If the weather is very dry there is no point in going mushroom hunting. Also, please be advised that we cannot give any guarantees that we will find anything. We are very good, but it is up to Mother Nature.
